Hello, I’m Monika - founder of Moni Clayton Interiors.

I was born in Poland and have lived in London for over a decade, where I’ve built not just a life but also a deeper understanding of what it means to create a home away from home.

For me, a home is more than four walls; it’s a place where you can feel at ease, reconnect with yourself and restore your energy. A home should be designed to support the way you live –  with thoughtful organisation, purposeful flow and a sense of balance that makes daily routines feel more effortless.

Years of working fixed hours, commuting long distances and coming back to spaces that didn’t really help me unwind have made me particularly passionate about designing for people who carry a lot and need their home to quietly carry them in return.

My background

My path into interior design has been shaped by three disciplines that continue to guide my work:

  • Sociology & psychology – studied in Poland, giving me insight into how people think, feel and interact with their environments.
  • Management (MA) – equipping me with strong project leadership and organisational skills, which I bring into running my studio and managing every stage of a project.
  • Interior design (KLC School of Design, Chelsea, London) – training that refined my creative and technical skills within a respected London design school.

By weaving together these perspectives, I design interiors that are not only visually beautiful but also emotionally grounding and tailored to the way each person lives.

I’m particularly drawn to designing for ambitious, thoughtful people who carry a lot – in their work and at home and who want their home to quietly hold them in return.

My design style combines:

  • quiet luxury rather than loud statement pieces,

  • thoughtful layouts that reduce visual noise and mental load,

  • colour, materials and lighting chosen to soothe your nervous system, not overstimulate it.

Emotional ease woven into your space.
